First days living in Melbourne

Ya estamos instalados en nuestro nuevo hogar. A veces un poco desubicados, conocemos la ciudad pero a la vez sentimos que somos nuevos aquí. Vamos aprendiendo como ir al súper de la mejor manera, los horarios del tren, por donde podemos salir a tomar algo, qué otros barrios nos quedan cerca, como llegar a la playa, cual es mejor, las casas increíbles que tenemos al rededor, el café local... Esas cosas que en algún momento formarán parte de nuestra rutina.

Ya más relajados con este tema de la mudanza, empezamos a pensar en nuestro viaje a casa. Después de un año y medio sin ir y 3 años sin haber estado por Navidad, volvemos!! Tengo muchísimas ganas, sobre todo porque es Navidad. Es el momento que peor lo paso en Australia, me da mucha pena y la nostalgia me ataca sin piedad! Que ganas de estar en Mi casa, pasar los días con mi familia, salir con mis amigos, ir a los sitios de siempre, comer bien... Quiero llegar ya!!

We are already settled up at our new home. We are familiar with the city, at the same time we feel like new around here. We are slowly learning how get to the supermarket taking the shortest way, train time tables, where can we go out and have a drink, what other suburbs are there around, how to get to the beach, which is the best, choosing the local coffee shop, we are amazed by the spectacular houses around … all those things that will soon become part of our daily life.

More relax with the entire moving thing, we started thinking on our trip back home. After a year and a half from our last visit and 3 years since our last Christmas over there, we are coming back!! I’m looking forward to it. Being away from home on that season is the hardest bit of living in Australia, I always feel so sad, homesickness attacks me with no mercy! I can’t wait to be home, spend days with my family, go out with my friends, visit the usual places, eat delicious food… I want to be there already!!
