I have the Basque Syndrome

Someone knows what is this about? I can tell you about it, is the following: you must go out when the sun shines, just in case it keeps raining the next three months and you have to lock yourself up at home! It doesn’t matter if you have been living outside the Basque Country for the last 4 years, in the other side of the world to be more accurate, in the driest state of Australia, I can’t remember last time it rained, but having the trauma of rain and rain following you, as soon as is a sunny day I have to get out! I have to take advantage!! That’s how all this months have passed by. Damned the day I said I was going to give another chance to the blog. Accept it Arantza, you rather go to the beach, to a Barbeque, picnic, wedding, trips, cycling, watch a movie at night and fall sleep in the couch etc. But it doesn’t mean every time I do all these things I’m thinking of all of you. I take thousands of photos; I keep visualizing the post mentally and feel the necessity of sharing my experiences as a foreigner, and my learning process in sewing and learning the technics related to yarn. It would be nice if they come up with a microchip that transfers my brain thoughts straight into a computer…

Thanks to Gorka who seriously encouraged me a couple weeks ago to continue with the blog, we started rescuing all those photos and started typing post from my diary and few incomplete texts that I already had. My mum always says I’m very organized, or at least I was, and the fact that I can’t follow a chronologic order in the blog makes me feel anxious, my eye ticks. So with your permission or without it, I could be just talking to myself, I’m going to continue publishing from where I left it, January 2013, ok? (forced smile and good girls eyes) as we’re talking about few post, each day I’ll be publishing what corresponds to each month, until I keep myself up to date, that is, the first one would be the one from the 30th of January, therefore it would appear on the blog prior to this post I’m writing now, and so on until May 2014.

I can advance you that I change job, I work as a window dresser now, this has been the biggest change from which I’m so happy and feel satisfied, I finally achieved what I was looking for! We no longer live in Adelaide, we did relocate ourselves again in Melbourne, we travelled to Japan, we went back home for Christmas, I finished my granny square blanket and just bought a knitting machine!!

It makes me so happy coming back here, yupiiii (as my nephew would have said). It would be a great surprise if anyone is still there, I would love reading your comments, you can tell me off but softly, I’m sensitive ;)

Ps: Thank you so much Gorka, friends and family, you know who you are, thanks for asking what’s going on with the blog and keep waiting for me to update it.
