Un trocito de la cuadrilla en Melbourne

Acabamos de tener un trocito de la cuadrilla en casa. Por suerte casi cada año le toca venir por trabajo, nosotros esperamos con ganas la visita. Se trata de un amigo de plena confianza, sabemos que vamos a estar a gusto y que nos vamos a reír muchísimo, porque hay que conocerle! Cada día después de trabajar nos esperaba en casa y salíamos a dar una vuelta, excepto un día que vino a buscarme! Me encanta que me vengan a buscar al trabajo, lo había dicho alguna vez? Pues sí. Fue interesante escuchar sus reacciones en cuanto a nuestro barrio y a la ciudad, me gusta que le guste, confirmamos que vivimos en un sitio agradable, a ver sí se animan más amigos!! Y familiares!!

We just had one of our best friends from home visiting us. Luckily, he has to come to work in Australia almost every year, we wait anxiously the visit. Is that kind of friend you know you will have a good time with; also, good laughs are assured. He would wait for us for an after work walk and exploring time. One of the days he came and pick me up instead, I love when someone comes to get me when I finish work, did I ever mentioned it? Yes, I love it. It was exciting to listen his thoughts and see his reactions about our neighbourhood and the city, I like him liking it, we assure we live in a comfortable place, let’s see if more friends and family get inspired to come over!! 

El fin de semana también coincidió con la visita de una amiga de Adelaide. O vienen todos o no viene nadie ;) Cogimos las bicis y fuimos por la orilla del río hasta el Convento de Abbostford, visitamos el barrio de Collinwood, ahora muy de moda, donde están abriendo muchas tiendas y bares de diseño. Otro día callejeamos por el centro, también fuimos a la playa a ver el atardecer, hicimos un picnic veloz con vistas a la ciudad y entre otras cosas comimos la tortilla de patata más sabrosa hecha por él. Ojalá, que hasta el año que viene Isio!

That weekend a friend from Adelaide came to visit too. We took the bikes and went along the river to Abbotsfrod Convent, after that head to Collinwood, which is a trendy area where they are opening many cool shops and cafes. Another day we walked the little alleys in the CBD. We also enjoyed watching the sunset at the beach and had a quick picnic by the Yarra River. Among other things, Isio made the tastiest tortilla de patatas ever! I hope we’ll see you next year too!
